Grand Cayman

Grand Cayman is one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. Beautiful nature, light blue sea, and white sand. Plus there are some wonderful things that you can experience on this island.
The Turtle Rescue Center is a place where you can hold and pet little baby turtles, feed the bigger ones, learn something about their lives or watch a show of a huge white alligator. On the other side of the road, there is a Dolphin Center, where you can swim with dolphins or watch how they learn new tricks.
Somewhere in the middle of the bay, just few meter from the ocean, there is a little shallow full of stingrays. Fishermans go there to dump old fish, so the stingrays could eat them. By the time the became so used to people that you can now go and swim with them. I was a little scared, but they are very friendly, they let you hold them, pet them or kiss them. if you are not feeling like swimming with wild animals you can just sit on the boat and enjoy a wonderful view.
For a little calmer day you could go to Rum Point. It’s a place wherein the 17th century a boat full of Rum sank. The pirates that occupied the island at the time took it and it was the happiest day of this island.
If you just one to relax the best place is the Seven Mile Beach. It’s a beautiful beach with a wonderful sea and even prettier sunset. With a bit of luck, you can spot some wild blue Iguanas.
My favorite place on this island is the Starfish Point. Untouched nature and shallow blue sea, where wild starfishes live. You can hold them and take photos with them.
Grand Cayman je určite jedno z najkrajších miest, aké som kedy navštívila. Nádherná príroda, azúrovo modré more a biely jemný piesok. Navyše sa na tomto ostrove dajú zažiť veci, ktoré možno nezažijete nikde inde vo svete.
Korytnačie záchranné centrum je miesto, kde si môžete zobrať do rúk malú korytnačku, nakŕmiť staršie, naučit sa niečo o ich živote alebo si pozrieť show obrovského bieleho aligátora. Cez cestu sa nachádza aj delfinárium, kde si zaplávete s delfínmi alebo si pozriete, ako sa učia nové triky.
Niekde v strede zálivu ostrova, na hranici s oceánom je plytčina, kde žijú divoké raje. Rybári tam už dlhé roky chodia vyhadzovať staré ryby, aby ich raje požrali. Tie si tým tak zvykli na ľudí, že sa s nimi teraz môžete kúpať. Mala som pred nimi veľký rešpekt, no napriek tomu niesu nebezpečné, radi sa nechajú chytať, dokonca vás obímu alebo vám dajú pusu. Ak sa na kúpanie s rajami necítite, z lode, ktorá vás tam doplavý je krásny výhľad na hranicu oceánu a zálivu.
Na oddýchnutie od všetkých aktivít sa dá stráviť celý deň na Rum Point. To je miesto, kde v 17. storočí stroskotala loď s rumom. Piráti, ktorí vtedy na ostrove vládli všetok rum zrekvírovali a odvtedy je tento deň považovaný za najšťastnejší deň dejín tohoto ostrova. Okrem rumu si tu vychutnáte aj lokálne tradičné jedlo.
Ak si chcete v kľude relaxovať, Seven Mile Beach je nádherná pláž s krásnym morom a ešte krajším západom Slnka. S trochou štastia natrafíte aj na voľne žijúceho obrovského modrého leguána.
Moje najobľúbenejšie miesto ostrova je Starfish Point. Na tomto ostrovnom výčlenku je nepoškvrnená príroda, krásne plytké more, v ktorom voľne žijú morské hviezdice. Takisto si ich viete zobrať do ruky a odfotiť sa s nimi.
